Dear Bhaktas,
Mahashivaratri was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the Ashrama. Morning Rudrabhishekam to Bhagavan Sri Chaleshwara was followed by an akhanda-krama-mahamrtyunjaya-japa for over five hours, followed again by Mahapradosha Rudrabhishekam.
An elaborate five hour Ekadasha-dravaya Rudrabhishekam and
Mahashivaratri vishesha-pooja was then performed to Bhagavan Sri Omkareshvara, until past midnight.
The spirited recital of Rudra-chamaka-sooktas, and melodious singing by the Chhaatraalaya vatus added to the fervour.
Mahadeeparadhana was followed by a 'samaradhana' with fruits etc.!
The next Mahapradosham occurs on the 27th February, Tuesday.
