With the arrival of Uttarayanam, the first Mahapradosham was celebrated following Sri Soorya Narayana pooja in the afternoon, on the day of the Sun! Chhaatraalaya boys performed Go-pooja, and Soorya Pooja, offered Soorya Namaskara and flew kites!
